It’s actually kind of tricky to target the backend of Gutenberg for only a specific post type. Here’s how!
Gutenberg and React and ACF blocks, oh my!
Thoughts specifically about Gutenberg. For the moment, there's not much call for me to be developing blocks in React – it's not economical for most client sites, and I don't have a burning need for any one particular block that's not being met by the many, many shops specializing in this. But I'll likely be building ACF blocks on most every site we release, and Gutenberg is still relatively new. So here are some thoughts on that.
Whenever nested calls to the_content happen in Gutenberg, the editor is outputting paragraph tags all over the place.
So, I’m actually really enjoying the editing experience in Gutenberg. It’s really, really well done, especially considering what a mess the process looked from the outside. But it has limits.
Gutenberg is likely going to help the WordPress system enormously, but until it does, it’s going to be a burden for everyone.
