Elodin Design, Inc. is my company name.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t give credit where it’s due. “Elodin” is my favorite character in Patrick Rothfuss’ incredible book series, Kingkiller Chronicle (more commonly known for the first book, The Name of the Wind).
“What do you mean by blue?”
Elodin
Elodin is a wizard; he speaks things into existence, and for me, his character connects with the experience of doing design and development work. Elodin knows the nature of things, and that knowledge allows him to perform magic. Knowing that nature of things is what allows you to create online, too, particularly in the swirling system of form and function that comprises a modern website.
There’s not one thing to know, but a multitude of simple things that build upon one another, all of which are crucial for building a successful site. Knowing what to search for and knowing how to pull on the right levers to build a site is what I do.
“It’s the questions we can’t answer that teach us the most. They teach us how to think.”
Elodin
Anyway. Patrick Rothfuss, if you ever read this, I’d be happy to redo your website. It’s already in WordPress…
